God is doing a wonderful work in the Bahamas. We discovered this fact on a recent visit there as the guests of Dr. & Mrs. Willis Johnson. We met many wonderful people that love the Lord and are being used greatly in the work of the Kingdom. We are honored that GMCI can now be a part of what God is doing in the Caribbean region. Our purpose only serves to enhance what is already taking place.
GMCI serves several purposes which include apostolic covering, a sense of belonging, a ministerial home, opportunities for fellowship, friendship and networking. In many ways we are to our members what the local church is to its congregation. We do provide a "sense of belonging" which is a vital part of God's design for His Family.
We provide appropriate ministerial credentials that documents to both peers and public that said individual belongs to an international body to which he is willing submitted for accountability. The apostolic covering is extended to both the local church and other parachurch ministries.
Our vision and goal for the Bahamas and Caribbean Region is the same as in any other part of the world... to extend the hand of fellowship to those ministers, churches and ministries that are an intricate part of God's end time army and to help bring about a solidarity in order to better facilitate the work of God's Kingdom here on earth. We fully believe that the unified force of our experience, anointing, understanding, wisdom and knowledge will help accomplish for more than our separated works could ever do.
As we all work to tear down the middle wall of partition, we begin to see others for who they really are and not what we perceived them to be. We see, as it were, as God might see. I am fully persuaded that God is now "setting in place" things according to His plan and agenda. GMCI is not a coincidence but ordained of God. Within God's sovereign strategy is both divine encounters and appointments. We believe that one of the concepts of the New Testament teachings is serving and ministering one to another.
The members of GMCI are free to carry out their own programs, missionary works and calling as they are led by the Holy Spirit as long as their lives and ministry are such as becoming children of God.
We look forward to extending our hand of fellowship to you. Out motto is "Fellowship without Bondage, Unity without Compromise". We fully realize that there will be differences in some areas of belief and opinions but when Jesus Christ is our common denominator then that which we agree upon is far greater than our differences.
GMCI strives for Excellence with Integrity, growth with humility.
Yours for souls,
Gordon Douglas,
Presiding Bishop / Chairman
